If you input ' fdisk -l' and press Enter Key now, you can see that the VHD has two partitions, one linux swap partition (/dev/sda1) and one linux partition (/dev/sda2). Format partitions Input ' mkswap /dev/sda1' to format the swap partition. Input ' swapon /dev/sda1' to activate the swap partition. You can see activated swaps stats by input ' swapon -s'. Input ' mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sda2' to format the linux partition. Copy Slax Linux to VHD Input ' mkdir /mnt/cdrom /mnt/sda2' to create two mount points. Input ' mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/cdrom' to mount the CDRom to /mnt/cdrom mount point. Input ' mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/sda2' to mount the linux partition to /mnt/sda2 mount point. Input ' cp -rv /mnt/cdrom/* /mnt/sda2' to copy Slax Linux from CDRom to linux partition of VHD. Install bootloader Input ' sh /mnt/sda2/slax/boot/bootinst.sh' and press Enter key. Press Enter key after the bootloader is installed. The VM is now ready to boot from VHD.
